1.Coordination of NGOs in Zanzibar, this aims at minimizing duplication and promote quality standard of NGOs
2.Contribution to the improved perfomance of the NGO sector and related in stitution through capacity building and exchange of skills
3.Lobby and advocacy activities to creative conducive environment for the NGO sector
4.Strengthening of national and international links and acting as voice of NGO in Zanzibar
Establishing national and international training programmes in Zanzibar

Major Past Achievements

1. ANGOZA participated in the drafting and formulation of Zanzibar Poverty Reduction Plan (ZPRP)
2. ANGOZA assisted in the developing ZPRP monitoring plan
3. ANGOZA played key role in the drafting of NGO policy in Zanzibar
4. ANGOZA helped to conduct participatory Service Delivery Assessment (PSDA)which was used by the government to improve water policy and education service in Zanzibar
5. ANGOZA built awareness in community in Zanzibar on MDGs
(Micheweni and North A)
